Generating money out of literal thin air
this item is sick asf, wonder what the og owner was thinking when they found out it was glitched LOL
Nice item !! I tried to send a 550 keys pure offers but it was too late.. He already accepted that one at 500 rip .. congratz GIBSON :P
Not surprised Gibson picked this up in a blink of an eye for a crazy offer. Nice snipe to the collection! B)
It's crazy that things like this still happen, congrats on the buy gibson
gibson gets all the cool shit :P
I think we should wait a bit to see if the item resells. Neutral.
Do you really think gibson will resell this lol? Rules state that there is no wait needed if the user who bought it is a collector who probably wouldn't resell.
Harry doesn't believe in the "Collector" title applying to anyone other than himself.
There are some pretty notable examples of that rule not being followed for collectors. https://backpack.tf/suggestion/61b581097174af44714ee1fd https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5efa9699c0a7f05fed545d64 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5d684b306780727e3c5e4641 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5d5237a4d381721a2a2437d2 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5d2b71626780727b787637f7 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5d0a2d45d381723f9d2fc815 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5cdb2ef9d381720975209054 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5b1d9ef044325a53b531289e https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5a77dc62cf6c757ed15b4fd7 I can link more if needed.
Bro he's just mad he didn't get it
I dont agree with you! I downvote your opinion!
Well I have linked a lot of proof backing my claim, so it is not an opinion, but thanks for your input!
At the time you didn't. At the time, it was an opinion.
Also, do any of these "proofs" include gibson? No, they don't. They're all about you. My point stands. Downvote.
The rule is about collectors, actually, not "gibson". A fact isn't an opinion just because proof isn't provided. It is a fact because it's true. Also, it is debatable whether this individual is a "collector". Here is an example of a sale of a rare item they made https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5fd68ad8dbb61a2c4f2cc9e7
"it is debatable whether this individual is a "collector"" lol okay im done talking now
Seriously, why are you guys having a debate over something only the mods can decide? By default, 1 sale suggestions on unusuals/rare items get left open for a month if the sale used happened within the past month no matter if the person is a collector or not
Harry enjoys arguing, im just feeding a little. Also just using his own logic against him.
By this logic, comments should not be allowed on suggestions at all because only the mods can decide. Also, there have been numerous past occasions where the one month "rule" was ignored, so I thought I would leave a pointed reminder of the logic behind that decision when it IS implemented. Examples: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/55e221acba8d88e0548b45f1 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/62789b8fc4acb97e9d7178f4 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/627ffd9380cf2762157e0c29 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/56b13ebfba8d883927bd0731 https://backpack.tf/suggestion/600d5742d8ae8823870b27fb Just to link a few
Uh my collectors wraith wrap suggestion, I had to wait a month for it to be accepted so dunno where you are getting your facts from. Although from your previous comments here and on other suggestions you seem to be extremely jaded so who knows, maybe you just make up facts that fit your narrative. (Or I could be wrong)
How am I making up facts by citing 5 examples? I haven't seen anybody counter what I'm saying with any sources, by the way, so I don't know how one could conclude that I'm making things up or being jaded. In response to you saying you don't know where I'm getting my facts from, it would be from the five examples I linked, plus the nine other examples I cited earlier
I welcome responses that include citations to relevant source material and exclude personal insults. Going by weight of authority, I have cited 14 different suggestions.
Cutie, can we just agree to wait on the orange names to decide :D
Ok.
My man you actually just ignored my message completely and only read what you wanted to read. I don't understand how this is difficult to understand. I'll use really simple English for you ok.
The comment, the 1 comment that I replied to. Not your entire monologue before, but the 1 comment I replied to. You said and I quote "there have been numerous past occasions where the 1 month rule has been ignored"
ok?
Still with me?
1 of these 5 examples in the 1 reply you gave was the collectors wraith wrap. Now I made that suggestion, and all I tried to do was tell you, that suggestion lasted at least a month and therefore your point about it being accepted under a month was factually incorrect.
Which if you are still with me, means you may have cited 14 examples, but 1 of those is incorrect. Thats all I tried to say, but for some unknown reason, you just ignored that bit of my message and saw what you wanted to see.
Honestly I'm not going to reply again and I hope that your next reply is a simple sorry, didn't realise I picked an item incorrectly when I cited those 14.
At the end of the day it's a 1of1 item, if he doesn't sell it in a month, the suggestion will get accepted since there will be 1 sale. Its as simple as that :)
That statement is anecdotal and remains to be proven. The no-vote stands.
Harry has flerf brain please dont try to reason with him, for your own sanities sake.
He doesnt have flerf brain, he has main character syndrome. But ye, he's actually just blown my brain lmao, man needs some serious help. I love how a factual reply to him that proves him wrong is my own opinion lmao, I feel sorry for you having to deal with him on your vaccinator suggestions lol. I guess he thinks he's a mod or something (in before he cries about and uses more big words to say my factual reply isn't factual lmao
According to him, "One day you'll be a real collector" or something like that
He is known for arguing and being aggressive. You can check his price suggestion history where he got into an argument with 2 price mods for trying to market manipulate a couple collectors items by raising their value off buy orders lol
Ye I saw those lmao, comparing his tf2 items to the mona Lisa thinking they compare with regards in how to value.
If the guy actually read the rules and understood them he'd very quickly realise that if bp let you raise items based on buy orders, everyone would have their friends put buy orders on all their hats to raise the prices.
I understand that yes, if buy orders are 200 keys for a 60 key hat. The hat isn't 60 keys, it's 200 but it would cause mass fake buy orders and disingenuous values of items (did you like how big that word was Harry).
This has been a nice chat Lucy, I'll happily continue to reply to you, but I'm just ignoring Harry since yes my mental state cannot comprehend him
i dont got much else to say lol but thanks
see what I mean? :P
"- The hat went to a collector or person who intends to keep the hat. A collector can be identified by looking at the person's trade history, item history of similar unusuals in the backpack OR if the owner has not resold the hat 1 month after the sale occurred."
https://forums.backpack.tf/topic/6033-rules-for-unusual-price-suggestions/
Very clearly an OR statement, and harry has provided plenty of examples that back this up, I will offer my own example of a rare item getting accepted in 2 days https://backpack.tf/suggestion/63d4baf8cad66693350b4988
Regardless, while gibson is a collector he
1) collects a lot of random shit
2) has sold some of this stuff before (harry linked the collector chucklenuts as an example, he has a few things on classies as well)
3) has not explicitly stated (afaik) that this item isn't for resale
Taking these points into account, he doesn't really meet the collector's criteria and thus this should be placed under the 1 month wait period.
my brother in arms it doesn't really matter, orange names will accept this suggestion when they want to
This is good supplementary evidence, thanks for doing this analysis. I'd almost like to see a more sanitized version of the criteria you've outlined here be codified so that I do not need to comment this kind of stuff every time this situation rises in the future; I think your template largely aligns with what I think the intent behind the rule is.
While my no vote stands, it looks as if users like myself and jh34ghu43gu have convinced the mods to wait the month to see what happens with this item; it has been 18 days now. I appreciate the mods for seemingly listening to this analysis
I would argue, Steve, that it does matter, because the point of the suggestion system is for users to provide information grounded in analysis and fact that informs the administrative decision-making of the mod team
Yeah......,
Im Shocked I tell you! Shocked
